In the years after the First World War, some rooms of the castle were transformed into a restaurant. The adjacent farm buildings were turned into a small romantic hotel in 1967. Both the hotel and the restaurant enjoy great popularity, not least because of the magnificent, panoramic location, the cosy atmosphere, the friendly service and the good wine (Napoleon wine). The Restaurant Schloss Thurnstein menu includes both Mediterranean delicacies and Tyrolean specialities. Our homemade desserts, cakes and pies are very popular with our guests.
Our family-run business offers warm meals from 12 noon to 2pm and from 6pm to 8.00pm. Our restaurant is closed on Thursday.

Like mother like son, or perhaps the other way round? In Bauer-Ambach family cooking runs in the family: Marialuise and son Leo know how to spoil their guests with culinary delights. Son Valentin serves with his father the delicacies of the kitchen and cellar.
